All our Press Safety courses are individually tailored to suit your requirements and press types be they Clutch, Press Brake, FlyWheel and /or Hydraulic - covering all aspects of safety in accordance with the H.S.E., Approved Code of Practice and Guidance and The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998 relating to Power Presses.
All our Courses combine the theory elements with interesting case examples, test exercises and practical skills activities to engage and enhance the delegates learning experience. On completion of their Power Press Safety course the delegates will have a more positive and systematic approach to safer press working methods and practices.
A typical Press Safety course will cover:

• Carrying out daily power press and guard protection device safety checks
• Health and Safety at Work Act, PUWER 1998 Regulations
• Types of Press and ancillary equipment (feeders, conveyors etc)

• Press mechanism, clutch, brakes, fly wheels, ram plus Hydraulic presses
• Causes and prevention of accidents
• Safety considerations in tool design
• Safe setting and tool layout, lubrication
• Practical look at power press operation and safety checks
• Theory, Discussion, Assessment, Testing and Course Close

All training is carried out in-house at your UK site premises by one of our fully qualified, experienced Press Safety trainers tailored to suit your specific requirements on a date that suits you with start times available from 7.30am on the day allowing staff who start work early to start their training early and finish at their normal time.
Where you have a mix of Novice and Refresher delegates, the Novices attend both Day 1 & Day 2, with the Refresher delegates attending on Day 2 only.
